So I didn't have anything in particular to draw today, so i thought i'd give drawing Les Mort a shot. I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that I'm a big fan of Ashley Wood. The drawing didn't turn out great, I think he ended up looking really fat, but other wise it turned out OK. Also a side note is that I'm loving the Wacom for coloring.
Hey, so as some of you may know, I've been working on an album. I've been flashing some art around for the demos, but the actual the cover is going to look totally different. Here is one of the ideas I've been tossing around. I think it looks pretty cool right now, but I think I can do a lot more with it. I think I'm gonna do a vector version of it. I'm gonna try some other versions and see which one works out the best.
I started watching Naruto again. I forgot how much I liked the show. I also thought I'd give drawing him a shot. I tried a bunch of different poses, but none of them really worked out, so I just did a head shot type thing.

I'm really excited by this cover. I was sitting down to draw the first issue cover, but while I was working on it, I came up with the idea for another cover. It turned out really cool. It's really simple and refined, but that is what I was going for.There is more too it. Mostly type. I'm gonna post it tomorrow over at deviantart. Like the other cover, I put a LOT of work into this. Even though it looks a little simple. I must have done like 5 different versions, and moved everything around way too much.
I decided that I didn't like the old cover I did enough for it to be the main cover of the first issue, so I'm reworking the cover. Believe it or not this took about 2 hours to do. Not that it's especially difficult. I just kept doing stuff and undoing it, and changing stuff. There is going to be a drawing on here, I was just happy I finally got the background down, now I just need to draw it.
Getting back to Iatrogenesis. Here is a super simple pic of George, but I love it.
I'm currently working on my new portfolio website. It should be done in a couple days, and the blog may be a little sparse while i'm constructing it. It's coming out pretty cool so far. I'll post a link up when I'm done.
So for years people have been telling me my stuff looks like Jamie Hewlett's/Gorillaz. Although I've never consciously copied his style, but I've always loved his art, and I have no doubt it snuck in there from time to time. I also realized that I've never actually tried to draw the Gorillaz so here is my attempt. It didn't come out great, but here you go. Also as a bonus. Here's all the crazy the Gorillaz stuff I own:
