Air Battle II

So I've been severely slacking in the updates lately. Here's another piece the graphic art series I've been posting over at my DeviantArt page. I thought this one turned out pretty cool. I'd been throwing this idea around in my head for a while. Might be a while before I do another one, because I've sort of run out of ideas for em.

Back to Sam

While I'm waiting on the second script for Iatrogenesis, I've decided to start working on Sam again. I've already done a couple pages. After looking at some of the old pages I did, I've decided to severely adjust the visual style for Sam. For the most part it's just going to be black and white now. With just red as an accent color. Here is a little sample of one panel. I'll post a full page in the coming days, so you can get a better idea of what it's going to look like.

Color Palette 2

Here is the color palette for issue 2. Every issue is going to have a slight change in the color scheme. If you read the first Issue that came out yesterday, you'll have noticed that color is a huge part of this series. Looking forward to working on issue 2.

Also my postcard finally got posted at Zuda comics. It's number 287. Here's the link http://www.zudacomics.com/postcard.

More Sufferin

So this version isn't a ton, better, and I wish that I could have had some more time to work on it, but time constraints, and other projects limited my time for this project so here it is. If your interested go check out the show tonight. Hopefully I'll have some pictures tonight.

So my good friend Travis Thomas (musically known as Sufferin Advocate) is playing a show this Friday, and I was commissioned to to do a poster, this is a rough version of the poster, I'm hoping the final version will come out better.

Some More Print

Here are some shots of the actual printed version. The first issue of Iatro is totally done. This printed version is a little different than previous ones. Only the cover is printed is on a heavy stock paper, whereas all the other pages are on a very thin paper. It turned out pretty good.

Get Excited

So I just finished the last page of Iatrogenesis issue 1. Turned out pretty good. Can't wait for people to start reading it. It should be up in a couple of weeks. Gotta get Devin to sign off on the final product, and I have to get his section of Backwords, but after that It's pretty much done. Get excited.

All I did was try to save the world...

So here is your last tidbit before the release of Iatrogenesis. This is the first page of the series. It also features my favorite line of the first issue, which is the title of the post.
This page also features one of my favorite visual devices. The pan in/pan out opening page. (Other issues where I did this Sam: Chapter 5, Neworld 5 and 6)Very nearly done on the first issue. Look for it soon.

Retouches

So I spent most of the day doing retouches on Iatro pages. This image was from one of those pages. I decided to add a hand to the one page, personally I think this is one of the best hands I've ever drawn. If you are one of the few that got a copy of the Iatrogenesis preview, you are going to be very surprised, because all of the pages in that with the exception of one have been changed for the final version. I had to retouch about half of the pages for the entire issue to make the visual style I developed work. But the issue looks amazing now. I'm nearly done. All I have left to do is the 4 opening pages, which me and Devin had originally thought he would do, but due to time constraints on his part, he had to back out, and now I'll be drawing the whole issue. More tomorrow.

On the Road

Here is a page I finished today. I loved how it turned out. It's minus the words (which are substantial for this page). The page is heavy on the photos (provided by the wonderful creator of Iatro Devin Askounis). It's kind of a different page layout than the rest of the book. Hope you enjoy it.

page in process

So here is a picture I took of a while ago. It's of a page in process. It's actually one of my favorite pages of the issue. It's George catching someone on the toilet. I loved the inks on this page and felt I had to capture it. You can also see most of the pencils for the page. You can also see sketches of one of the female characters to left.

Kick in the Stones

More panels from the new pages, I've busted out 2 in the last 2 days, and I'm working on post for a 3rd. This is one of my favorite panels from those pages. It's George getting kicked in the nuts. I thought it was pretty awesome.

Bright Eyes

So here is a panel from a new page I just. So yesterday I made a pledge to myself, that I wouldn't work on anything else (with the exception of the blog) until the first issue of Iatro is finally done. I'm hoping to finish it in 2 - 3 weeks. So look for that.
