I did this the other day. I was at work thinking about the process that was coming up with the look of George. Here are all the version of him I did in order (these aren't all the sketches though, there are soooooooooo many, and I even left a couple designs out). The first one is Devin's original sketch. The next couple I started getting really away from his design, but the one that got the thumbs up was far closer to his original drawing of Devins. If you actually look at the one next to the final one, it is almost verbatim Devin's one in my style, and then from there I just refined the design some.
So this is the 200th post. Not as impressive as the other big milestone posts, but here you go. I've been majorly slacking on the blog as of late. But I guess that's what happens when you get a real job. I picked up my Wacom today and it was so dusty it made me sad. I'm gonna try and be better, and do at least a page or two a week from now on. No more of this going a month with working on comics.
I was drawing sketches of June, for the Early years part of Sam. She's in the last two pages. I wanted to give her only a slightly different look. I gave here longer hair and a slightly different appearance. I thought this turned out good.
So it's been a been a long time since I posted here. I decided to do something big for my return. Here's a pretty nifty drawing I did for Sam. Kind of a version on the issue 1 cover. Maybe it will be a variant. This is going to be the coloring style for Sam by the way. Well, Not quite this, but very similar.
I write comics that no one cares about. I make music that no one cares about. I wish I lived the in the village from the prisoner.
And now I make Podcasts with my friends that only a couple people care about.
